Tacos Mario’s Street Food has been serving authentic Mexican flavors in Chicago since 2018, with roots dating back to Mexico City in the 1970s. Founded by Mario Martinez, this third-generation family business is known for its signature al pastor and has become a South Side favorite. Their food trucks and pop-ups offer classic Mexican street food like tacos, burritos, tortas, and tostadas, made with high-quality ingredients. Mario Martinez grew up in Mexico City, where he learned the art of street food from his family, perfecting recipes passed down through generations. After moving to Chicago, he launched Tacos Mario’s in 2018 from a small food truck, driven by his passion to bring the authentic flavors of his hometown to the streets of the city.
