Chef Dana Cree, an award-winning pastry chef is the founder of Pretty Cool Ice Cream, a small-batch, handcrafted ice cream company in Chicago, Illinois. Dana is also the author of the fantastic book Hello, My Name Is Ice Cream, where she shares her deep passion and expertise in frozen treats, and celebrated hospitality hero Michael Ciapciak, the founder of Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits. Dana has created Pretty Cool Ice Cream as a go-to destination for inventive, high-quality ice cream that’s deliciously fun in all ages.

 

Launched in 2018 in Logan Square, Pretty Cool Ice Cream has specialized in nostalgic frozen novelties, like your favorite treats from the ice cream truck in Chicago. These are all handmade by her talented team of skilled artisans with the finest ingredients they can find. Each item is individually crafted and packaged as they work with local artists, creating art and design for each flavorful frozen masterpiece for an overall look as diverse as our city.
